Ian and I first crossed paths on the marching band field in 2006. Together, we toured Europe, traveled countless miles to band competitions, and grew alongside each other in the halls of Dewitt High School.

After graduation, we both headed to Michigan State University—Ian pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I, in Special Education.

In 2015, our journey together took a beautiful step forward when we married on the MSU campus. Over the years, our bond deepened, and we've stayed best friends through it all. In 2019, we welcomed our first daughter, Madison, and in 2022, our second, Riley.

Life may be busier now, but it’s the kind of busy we love. We enjoy taking our girls to Dewitt community events like the Ox Roast, where we can reminisce about marching down those same streets. Looking back, we're grateful for the moment we met on the band field, and we look forward to the next chapter of our journey.
