We met when I (Nichole) moved to DeWitt in the 4th grade. We had similar friends, but never got close. When we were in our Junior year at DeWitt High School, we attended the DeWitt vs Haslett football game. Two of our mutual friends were dating at the time and we sat next to one another at the game. We flirted through the game and teased one another. By the end of the game, our friends "double-dared" us to go on a date. Lewis took me to dinner and a movie the next day and he has been my best friend ever since. We attended games, homecomings, prom, and clubs together through our Junior and Senior year at DHS. We broke up for a while while I went to school out of state and Lewis stayed in the area, but he was always my friend. 

By the time I was a Junior in college, Lewis and I were 'dating' across state lines and he was planning on moving near me while I finished college. We married in the summer of 2004 and moved back to the area in 2005. DeWitt has always been home. We purchased our home between the house that I grew up in and the house he grew up in. Our child is a DHS senior right now and we are enjoying them experience all the senior things and remembering our early days together. Now, Lewis and Nichole are both working at Peckham, Inc. in Lansing. Lewis is working in technical support and Nichole is a Pre-Vocational Skills Trainer.
